Covenant Cares
Direct service to our community is an important priority for our church. Through the Covenant Cares ministry volunteers are recruited projects are scheduled throughout the year to provide opportunities for Covenant Baptist to demonstrate God’s love and reach out to the needs of the community. These strategic efforts are planned to reach the lost and un-churched, and minister to the needs of people through school projects, servant evangelism, feeding the hungry, and other areas of outreach and ministry as needed.
Short-term Missions
Our Missions Committee plans and promotes short-term mission projects throughout the year in the U.S. and abroad. Some of these ministries include: preparing and serving meal to the student at the University of Memphis through their Baptist Collegiate Ministry, preparing meals for student summer mission teams through the Brinkley Heights Street Reach Ministry and serving as a collection site for Operation Chirstmas Child Shoebox Gifts through the Samaritans Purse ministry.
Missions Support
A generous portion of the church budget is dedicated to missions support. In addition, the church promotes several mission support offerings throughout the year including the Lottie Moon Christmas offering and the Annie Armstrong Easter offering. Other funds are used to support missionaries and missions work in the Memphis area and internationally.
